Facades of Devon is a small family run business situated on the edge of Exmoor. Established in 1996 by Alan and Val Boddington, Facades of Devon is now being run by Daniel and Zoe Bateman.
Dan has worked as a cabinet maker for many years since leaving school, both in the Midlands and in Devon when we moved down here 15 years ago.
Between 2000 and 2003 Daniel worked for Alan and Val at Facades, building the same furniture shown in the site.
After years of family and friends telling us to start our own business, we finally took the plunge three years ago to set up our own company, Exmoor Furniture, building a range of traditional furniture. In early 2011 Alan Boddington approached Dan to build his range of furniture.
At the end of 2010 we took on an apprentice called Jacob, he has completed his college education and he is now working full time for us developing his skills in the workshop.
In our small workshop we produce a range of handcrafted cupboards which open up to reveal a complete workstation, with ample storage designed to suit all your hobby, home, kitchen and office needs.
All our furniture is made from solid pine or a choice of hardwood that are sustainable sourced from FSC certified sources.
As well has having a waxed finish we also offer an Eggshell painted finish from the full colour ranges of Farrow and Ball, Fired Earth and the Little Greene Paint Company.
